Get Cooking With Chef RV - Valentine’s Pasta

INGREDIENTS:

  • 400 grams Del Monte Pasta Italiana Spaghetti
  • Water, as needed
  • Salt, as needed

 

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 piece onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms drained
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/4 cup bell peppers, cubes
  • 1/4 cup sundried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup cream
  • Pasta water, as needed
  • Salt and pepper, as needed
  • Chili flakes, as needed
  • Dried oregano, as needed
  • Fresh basil, chiffonade
  • Dried thyme, as needed 
  • 500 grams Del Monte Cream & Cheesy Spaghetti Sauce 
  • Cheese, grated, as needed
  • Parsley, chopped as needed

 

PROCEDURE: 

  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Strain then set aside. (Save pasta water, as needed)
  2. In a pot, heat butter and olive oil.
  3. Add onions, garlic, sun dried tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers and mushrooms. Sauté, and season with salt. 
  4. Add dried oregano, thyme and chili flakes. 
  5. Stir in the Del Monte Creamy & Cheesy Tomato sauce, cream, and pasta water, as needed
  6. Finish with chopped fresh basil. 
  7. Season beef and shrimp with salt and pepper. Sear in a hot skillet drizzled with butter or olive oil.
