Creamy Spinach Carbonara Recipe
A comforting dish is elevated with the irresistible flavors of Del Monte Carbonara Sauce, topped with a golden finish, making it a satisfying meal for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp oil
- 1 cup shiitake mushroom, dried
- 1 Tbsp garlic
- 1/4 cup onion, red
- 3/4 cup spinach, frozen
- 1/8 cup nutmeg, ground
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 pouch DEL MONTE Carbonara Sauce (400g)
- 1 pc chicken bouillon cube
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper, black
- 1/2 cup all-purpose cream
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 pack DEL MONTE Elbow Macaroni (400g)
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
Cooking Tools Needed
- Chopping Board
- Colander
- Knife
- Measuring Cups
- Measuring Spoons
- Pot
- Spatula
Procedure
1 Sauté mushrooms until browned. Add the garlic and onion and continue sautéing until aromatic. Add the spinach and sauté for 1 minute. Add the nutmeg then sauté for a few seconds. Add water and simmer for 1 minute.
2 Add DEL MONTE Carbonara Sauce and chicken bouillon cube. Simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Add the all-purpose cream, cream cheese, and parmesan cheese. Turn off the heat and allow the cheese to melt. Reserve 1 cup of the mixture for the topping.
3 Toss in cooked DEL MONTE Elbow Macaroni. Transfer into a baking dish. Top with the reserved sauce. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Serve.
4 If desired, bake for 10 - 15 minutes or until browned on top.Featured Products
